The Journey
A-List Salon & Barber was born from a shared vision between Aleigh and Terrence Coles—a husband and wife team with a passion for transformative hair salon services and grooming. What began as a dream in 2015 has grown into Columbia's premier hair salon destination for hair color, highlights, precision cuts and modern luxury styling.
After years of working separately in high-end hair salons and traditional barbershops, Aleigh and Terrence recognized the need for a hair salon that combined the best of both worlds—where expert hair color, women's styling and men's precision cuts could be found under one roof, delivered with genuine care and exceptional skill.
Today, A-List has evolved into more than just a hair salon and barbershop; it's Columbia MO's go-to hair salon where clients become friends, and everyone who walks through our doors is treated like family.

Hey, I'm Terrence, a licensed barber originally from Detroit, Michigan. I started cutting hair back in 2005—just hooking up friends and college students while chasing other dreams. Fast forward to 2023, I made the leap into barber school and officially earned my license in 2024, shifting from a career in healthcare to something that's always been close to my heart. Barbering is more than a profession for me—it's purpose. I've always been passionate about mentoring and life coaching, and now I get to combine that with helping people look and feel their best.
